Signs It Might Be Time for In-Home Care
The small signs that build up over time — and why bringing in a little support early is often easier for everyone.
It rarely happens all at once. More often, it’s a slow build-up of small things — a bit more clutter than usual, meals that are simpler than they used to be, or a bill that got paid twice by mistake. On their own, none of these are alarming. Together, they can be a sign that daily life has quietly become harder to manage alone.
Signs worth paying attention to:
- Skipped meals or very little food in the fridge
- Unopened post or unpaid bills building up
- Missed medication or muddled prescriptions
- Withdrawing from hobbies or friends they used to enjoy
- Unexplained bruises, or a fall that gets brushed off
Bringing in a little help early — even just a few hours a week — is often far easier for everyone than waiting for a crisis to force the decision. It doesn’t have to mean a big change. It usually starts small.
